Residents of Ban Han Sai village in Saraburi province broke down in tears after their homes were completely destroyed by the storm on the night of Thursday (April 16), which is believed to have been the worst since 1972.
So far, the destruction has been valued at Bt200,000.
Aranyaprathet district chief worked with the Army, volunteers and several organisations on Friday to help the victims.
Klomree Hanphom, 63, could not hold back her tears when she recounted the experience.
She said she had to protect her grandchildren as her son tried to hold the door against the strong gusts of wind, which blew away the roof of their home.
Hail stones also shattered all windows of the house. Klomree’s husband Boonchoo said the family barely escaped the massive storm.
